Traders lodge complaint against Sein Nan Htike bean company

New Delhi (Mizzima) – The owner of the Sein Nan Htike bean trading company has
failed to pay more than five billion kyat for beans, according to the Myanmar Beans,
Pulses and Sesame Merchants Association (MBPSMA).

Burma’s oil and natural gas sectors eyed by Malaysia

Chiang Mai (Mizzima) – Malaysian companies are preparing to invest more in Burma’s
inland oil and natural gas blocks. 

Transocean International’s semi-submersible drilling rig the Actinia. Last autumn,
the Actinia was contracted to drill in Burmese waters.

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is due to travel toBurmaearly next month 
amid speculation that her country’s desire for gas imports from its neighbour to 
the east will dominate talks.

Bangladeshi cabinet ministers were in Naypyidaw last week for preparatory 
discussions prior to the 5-7 December visit by Hasina, her first toBurmasince 
coming to office in 2008.
